Finding Values Using Multiplication

Today students were given a random pile of our Pennies for Patients money and asked to sort it by thinking about how they could represent their money using multiplication. We have been talking about how multiplication is sorting things into equal groups to figure out our total. This is a look into what your children are able to do without my support and solely relying on their own brain power and problem solving skills. I was absolutely astonished by the hard work and perseverence I saw today. I know it wasn't easy, but wow am I a proud teacher! :)
